The Hoshina Academy Chamber Orchestra “Ensemble=Harmonia” is a community orchestra established by alumni and present members of the Okayama University Symphony Orchestra in 1994. All members and the resident conductor Takashi Akiyama are amateur musicians who seriously love performing classical music.

They are the most enthusiastic supporters of the “Hoshina Method” and “Okayama University Method”, which are the unique methodology for musical analysis, interpretation, and performance. These method was developed by Hiroshi Hoshina and the Okayama University Symphony Orchestra. The purpose of the orchestra is to study and practice their methods, as the the name includes a term of “Academy”.
